Research:
Use of light in near infrared to monitor brain physiology. Our laboratory studies the propagation of light in biological tissue and develops new instrumentation and methods that enable information gathering in biological tissue (such as the brain).
Particularly for BRAINN, our laboratory is focused on developing a pioneering technique for measuring blood flow through optical, completely non-invasive methods that can be used at the patient’s bed. We believe that the development of this technique can provide physician with relevant information that cannot be currently obtained from clinical cases, such as stroke, brain trauma and other brain diseases.
