Work on brain functional connectivity by researcher Isadora Cristina Ribeiro received an award and an honorable mention at the event.
The researcher Isadora Cristina Ribeiro, from CEPID BRAINN, received the Young Researcher Award 2026 at the Congress on Brain, Behavior and Emotions, which took place from June 3 to 6 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The work presented by Isadora is titled “Brain functional connectivity is modulated by resistance training and is associated with blood biomarkers in mild cognitive impairment“, and evaluated whether there are differences in brain functional connectivity after resistance exercise in older adults with mild cognitive impairment, as well as whether there is a correlation between functional connectivity of brain networks and plasma biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease.
