{"id":9877,"date":"2017-10-11T14:05:31","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T17:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brainn.org.br\/?p=9877"},"modified":"2017-10-13T18:57:21","modified_gmt":"2017-10-13T21:57:21","slug":"premio-capes-de-tese-2017-estudo-sobre-epilepsia-e-vencedor-na-categoria-medicina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brainn.org.br\/en\/premio-capes-de-tese-2017-estudo-sobre-epilepsia-e-vencedor-na-categoria-medicina\/","title":{"rendered":"Capes Thesis Awards 2017: study on epilepsy wins &#8216;Medicine&#8217; category"},"content":{"rendered":"<em>Epilepsy study by Brunno Campos, working under the supervision of researcher Fernando Cendes (BRAINN\u00b4s Coordinator<\/em><em>), stands out in national awards.<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11px; color: #808080;\">October 11th 2017\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0by\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.webcontent.com.br\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Reda\u00e7\u00e3o WebContent<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the\u00a0Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES, in Portuguese) presents its <strong>Thesis Awards<\/strong>, dedicated to the best doctoral thesis defended\u00a0in the whole country.\u00a0In 2017, UNICAMP was awarded two prizes, one of them being of special relevance to <strong>BRAINN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The thesis &#8220;<strong>FUNCTIONAL AND STRUCTURAL CONNECTIVITY IN PATIENTS WITH FOCAL EPILEPSY<\/strong>&#8220;, by student <strong>Brunno Machado de Campos<\/strong>, received the CAPES Award in the category &#8216;Medicine I&#8217;. Brunno is supervised by prof. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brainn.org.br\/fernando-cendes\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Fernando Cendes<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, BRAINN\u00b4s main Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>The award winners receive, in addition to honors, several incentives to improve his\/her academic career:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a diploma,<\/li>\n<li>a medal and<\/li>\n<li>a national postdoctoral fellowship of up to 12 months;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Fernando Cendes will receive\u00a0assistance for participation in any national congress, in the amount of R$3 thousand. There are also distinctions to be given to the supervisor, co-orientator and the program in which the thesis was defended; as well as\u00a0a fully paid trip\u00a0for the author and his supervisor to attend the award ceremony, which takes place in December.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BRAINN<\/strong> congratulates Brunno and dr.
