Professor Blümcke emphasized that, in certain types of brain lesions, defining such relationships remains a major scientific and clinical challenge. This limitation highlights the ongoing need to continuously revise diagnostic classifications and clinical protocols, in parallel with the evolution of genetic research.

Throughout the lecture, recent findings were presented that support the relevance of integrating histopathological and genetic data to improve diagnostic precision.

The event contributed significantly to the academic environment by promoting discussion on the advances in epilepsy research and reinforcing the role of updated classification systems in enhancing patient care and research strategies.
[279,275
