The Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (BRAINN<\/strong>) is a FAPESP RIDIC\u00a0<\/strong>(“CEPID”, in Portuguese)<\/p>\n

RIDICs are “Research, Innovation and Diffusion Centers<\/strong>” supported by FAPESP for a period of up to 11 years. Their mission is to develop fundamental or applied research with relevant business and\/or social impact, contributing to innovation through technology transfer and providing outreach activities for teachers and students of primary and secondary education and to the general public.<\/p>\n

Currently, FAPESP finances 17 RIDICs covering various topics in different scientific areas, from research on human health to the study of the impact of public policies in large Brazilian cities.<\/p>\n
