DESCRIPTION:LATIN AMERICAN SCHOOL OF HUMAN AND MEDICAL GENETICS – XIII COURSE – May 7-13\, 2017 – HOTEL SAMUARA – CAXIAS DO SUL – RS – BRASIL \nThe XIII Course of the Latin American School of Human and Medical Genetics (ELAG) will be held on May 7-13\, 2017. The venue will be Hotel Samuara\, nicely located inside a natural park\, just 100 km from Porto Alegre. \nThis intensive course will have 15 lectures\, 4 short-courses\, 4 workshops\, poster session and many other activities\, addressing the most important topics related to genetics and genomics. The program will be addressed by a faculty of 22 top-rank investigators from Latin America\, North America and Europe. \nThis course is addressed to postgraduate students\, young investigators and professionals interested on the new applications of genetics to the health sciences. A social program was planned to enhance interaction among faculty and students and to promote international partnership. \nThis year we will offer 70 seats to students from all Latin American countries. Selected students will have the expenses with accommodation\, meals and transfer airport-hotel-airport covered by the organizers. A contribution of 1.200.00 Brazilian Reals (approximately US$ 350.00) is requested from each selected student to cover part of the operational costs of the course. \n  \nFor registration\, please access the webpage www.igpt.org.br.
