Director of the Center for Genetics and Genomics at Facultad de Medicina\, Clinica Alemana Universidad del Desarrollo in Santiago\, Chile.\nShe received her MD degree from Universidad Catolica in Santiago; trained as Pediatrics Resident at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Clinical Genetics Fellow at Children`s Hospital in Boston in the US. She works as a clinical geneticist at Clinical Alemana and Hospital Padre Hurtado\, and leads research in rare disorders\, with particular interest in diseases that affect the heart and the brain\, such as 22q11 microdeletion syndrome.She is also working as an advisor to the Chilean Ministry of Health on the incorporation of genomics in the health system.
